I have read the forums numerous times. Read the guides here, and even tried Doom 9 guides using GordianKnot. Even tried DVD TO AVI v1.4 for numbskulls!!! It seems that I still have problems everytime converting DVD TO DIVX!!! Many of these guides are out of date and need updating. Is there any way to easily convert discs? I have about 100 DVDs I would like to "MASS CONVERT" over a period of time. Any ideas?

i use GordianKnot with no problem.
it is one of the best ways to rip a dvd.i make great rips IMO,but i also make them two cds.
its not 'up to date' since it doesn't work well with divx 5.03 and 5.04 beta, but works well with divx 5.02.i hear people have problems with 5.03 anyway.
rip to hard drive then make a project like the guide says, open it.set how many cds and the audio bitrate.select what kind of dvd it is.have the width 640 and h-modul at 16.hit auto crop.check the preveiw to see how it looks.save and encode.setup the audio(i do it septerate)
one dvd you should have 8-10 GB free space,so unless you have 1000GB'syou cant do all of them at the same time.
i do four at a time.it takes 5hrs for 1 with 1.6ghz
