  1. help guys/gals, on the road with new laptop and loaded up my pinnacle to work on the road. yes i updated to 7.15 verision. tried a simple test. took several pictures put in a row with transitions then tried to write a small mpeg movie. nothing happens. yet on home system it would write it.

secondly while putting the slides in usually (at home) i can hit play button in preview and i can watch the transition in the preview. this time nothing happens. both are running xp (lap top is professional).

i thought i could edit mepgs in pinnacle cant remember but on laptop looks like only .avis.???

  2. Pinnacle did not add MPEG import and edit functionality until Version 8 to its Studio line.

Sorry. (Ya I was a sucker too and bought 7 without realizing this drawback).

  4. I believe that PS7 creates mpeg2 by itself so you don't need another codec to create mpeg2.

Hmm.... what could be problem ???

    1. Are they exact same version ? Check again....

    2. Is your disk full ? Just an idea... Check where is your "temp" direrctory (Auxiliary Files).

    3. Try to explain more in details what do you mean by "nothing happens". What exactly do you do ?
