  1. I'm ready to take the plunge and buy a DVD writer. But first I need to know what software I will be needing if I want to place multiple video clips on one DVD, and then be able to access any of those clips like I can do with my audio cd's. In other words, if I want to play video clip #13, I'd like to be able to select it and play it without having to wade thru clips 1 - 12. What program should I get? Thanks in advance.

  2. I believe Pinnacle Studio 8 will do what you need. the program itself is not
complicated to use some people like it some hate it.
Compusa has it listed for 19.99 after rebates, so it may not be so bad to try out.

  3. Studio 8 is a great way to go. Just got one for my father-in-law. But remember you must have a capture card in your computer. If you are using a digital camera than most FireWire cards would work. If you have older analog cameras than look for the Studio 8 Deluxe which has the hardware for DV, S-Video and Composite I/O

  4. I would recomens Ulead DVD Workshop. You can put a bunch-o-clips in and have a menu button for each, you can even put chapter breaks in each clip for skipping around in the selected clip.
