Ok im extreme newb here, but with all the info ive been finding my way to making a few good vcd's. My problem is with the couple that I have made somewhat succesfully the source file had a bad spot in it and through the sound off after that spot, so I figured as so many people here have said "junk in junk out".

But I have found a few good sources of movies and Ive tried lots of the posted ways to burn to a single cd and I just cant manage to get that done so I'm still doing two cds per movie using vdub to pull sound, then tmpge to combine the video and sound file to mpeg, then ezcd creator or nero to burn to vcd.

Now my current problem is with good source files I figured all would be well and with the disk 1 file it is but so far with both movies I have tried the second disk sound is off by just a couple seconds, and I know that in tmpge there is a place to adjust this sound but not experienced enough yet to mess with that. But I dont understand how the bad source files the sound would be fine till the point in the movie that would gargle then the sound would be off after that point. With the good source files the second disk sound is off from the beginning.

Like I said, Im using vdub to pull audio, then tmpge to combine them, with toolame for the audio in tmpge (have tried with toolame and without same results 2nd disc off) then ez or nero to vcd. And I'm checking these files as mpegs obviosly before I burn them to cd for the sound error.

Any help or suggestions welcome greatly!
