i have a avertv studio card and im trying to capture some vhs tapes but every time i capture i get like we squares in the picture so i set the quality higher and the file is to big for a 80 min cd (vcd or scvd). the vhs tape is only on for a hour. im using the software that came with the card and i have updated all the drivers could someone tell me the best program to use and what settings please .

I use 720 x 576 bitrate 8000 to capture.
If you encode to VCD/SVCD using the standard templates in TMPGEnc.
You will get approximately 80 mins of mpeg1 on a VCD.
And approximately 40 mins of mpeg2 on an SVCD.
So if you capture your video to just within these time limitations you will fit them on your CDS.
