  1. Hi I want to make a preview to put on my vcds that will say something like.....

    Welcome To Ed's Home Theater.

    I have a few questions:
    1. Is there any progams that I can do this with?
    2. Can I make an avi out of a picture (jpeg) that I have? Basically so a picture will loop for say around 20 seconds or so.
    3. Is there any simple to use software that I can make animated video's with? like a dancing box of popcorn or something.

Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated

  2. You are probably better off saving the space for quality but, MGI video wav will do that. You can take a bunch of picture and make a movie.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

  3. Thanks Marco33

My other Idea is to put it on a seprate disc so I can show it before the movie. I am pllanning on buying a 5 disc carosel dvd player. so I don't have to get my lazy ass off the couch.

The mgi video is it easy to use.
Where can i get that is it freeware.

    Thanks in advance

MGI VideoWave isn't freeware, but it's not super expensive.

Another option might be Magix Audio/Video - it's a video and audio editor that was aimed at office people for presentations, I got the deluxe version in an Office Depot store for $9 because it had been discontinued! You might be able to find it cheap from a reseller.

Otherwise, there's got to be a freeware tool to convert an image file to a short video - you might have to go from .jpg to .bmp, then from .bmp to .avi, then from .avi to .mpg, but I know I've seen freeware that will compile stills into movies.

    hope this helps. good luck.
