I'm a newbie so please bare with me.....
What I want to be able to do is capture from both a PAL and NTSC VCR. The final product will either be a VCD or DVD.
My PC currently has.....
PIII 667mhz
639mb ram
ATI Xpert 98 AGP video card
Sound Blaster PCI 128 sound card
20gb hard drive
Windows 98se
I know I have to upgrade my hard drive, anything else need upgraded? What capture card should I get? ATI makes an add-on capture card for my video card(TV-Wonder) but I don't know if it captures both PAL / NTSC. Any suggestions?

This is actually just a software issue. Pretty much any capture program will let you choose PAL (25fps) or NTSC (29.97fps) and any desired resolution that you want (PAL standard, NTSC standard or custom).
I normally use neoDVD, virtualdub and/or AVI_IO. And all support any resolution/fps that you want. -
yeh most should let you do this, just check that the software allows you to do it before hand
out of interest how are you capturing from the decks are you doing it manually or are you using a remote?-Bish0p -
