  1. An email I just fired off to supermediastore.com follows. Any ideas/suggestions?

    Hello,

I've received my order, but am encountering problems. The 50 DVDR spindle (DVD-R blank media discs DVD01X0036-050) do not burn well at all. I am using a Panasonic LFD-311 DVD-R drive. I have tried using DVD Decrypter, DVDXcopy, and Nero Burning Rom to burn DVDRs. As long as the content is less than 4GB, things are fine. As you get to the periphery of the DVDR (4.1GB, 4.2GB) the burn fails, despite the media supposedly being able to accomodate 4.3GB. It's not the drive, since I can burn full-capacity DVDRs on other media.

Of the 6 I have tried burning, only 2 have been successful (both under 4GB in size).

    Please advise.

    Thanks,

    -Dan

  2. I am waiting for a DVD2One update to LET USERS set disk size themselves to 4gb or less so when I come across this problem I just have to give up an un-noticable 300mb more into compression.

So the fastest solution is to keep it less. Can't make medicore media into gold.

  3. No offense, but instead of trying to use less available space on the disc (???), why don't you spend a little more and buy better media?

So far, I've been using Ritek, TDK, and Sony discs at around .80-.90 each and haven't had any problems yet.

After trying a 10 pack of Princos which were around .60 and having loads of problems, I'm willing to pay the extra .30 per disc.

  4. Dancing Bear - where did you buy the Sony for .90?
