I downloaded PictureShow2 full version after having good results using the demo of PictureShow1.

However, using the new transitions makes the resolution terrible and making the show without transitions still doesn't work as the demo version did.

Making a VCD with no transitions gives me pictures that have flickering in them. It's annoying as hell and very disappointing.

Anyone have any suggestions or comments? Please help.

    thanks in advance,

  2. With transitions the quality is going to go down no matter what you do. If you are burning to VCD, I suggest giving SVCD a try. VCD used MPEG1 which has a difficult time holding a still image steady. SVCD uses a MPEG2 and a higher resolution of 480x480. The results aren't as good as a VCD without transitions, but it's not bad. Personally I plan on sticking with no transitions until I get a DVD burner. Depending on the level and quality of compression that Ulead is using, it might be good enough. Of course, this all depends on your target and what your personal judge of quality is, so play around until you find a good compromise. If all else fails, try a video editing package where you can set the level of compression on your images.

  3. Almost forgot...

Ulead supposedly has a patch on their site that addresses the flickering problem. It has solved the problem for some users.
