  1. Just entered this complicated world which I mistakenly thought would be straight forward. I have read loads of stuff on this topic but can't find an answer that I undertand.

I have a canon camcorder that I want to use to capture home videos, so far I have used the Ulead Videostudio 6 trial version to capture my footage.

I have managed to burn a VCD and SVCD onto Maxell CD-RW using Ulead to do everything and only the VCD worked on my Goodmans DVD127 player.

I have also tried using Nero to burn the VCD/SVCD on to the above disc. These worked on my DVD player but no chapters or "buttons".

The CDR version worked on a friends Sony player and all work on my PC, however no CDR's work on the goodmans.

This is OK except that CD-RW is so much more expensive and I dont; won;t to be able to rewrite over the capture home footage.

Anyone got any suggestions, please !

...and CD-RW's are more like "the real thing" - manufactured CD's - than a CD-R is, it seems.
