Hi all,
Does any use the above? I've used Pinnacle Studio 7 and loved it, but that was before going to a DVD writer. The software, Sonic, that comes with the Pioneer AO5 DVD writer SUCKS! It keeps crashing and crashing! ugh!
I'm trying a trial version of Ulead and it's ok so far, but Pinnacle 7 seemed to have so much more in terms of transitions and other features. I especially like the time editing feature in Pinnacle...MUCH easier than anything I've seen so far.
I'm also wondering if Studio 8 will burn to all formats of DVD (-/+)?
Thanks in advance for your feedback. I'm trying other products before spending $149.99 CDN on Studio 8.
Help me Obi Wan.
Cheers,
Jedi27

Yes, I use it and I like it. I don't burn with it.... I never realy tryed to use burn part. I am burning with Nero 5.5.9.17.0
No AC3. It is meant to be for home movie (from camcorder) editing and authoring and not for authoring "backup" movies. Also for that price ??? It does a lotOriginally Posted by wizzy

I have been using Studio 8 to make DVD from my VHS tapes. It has some nice features. You can buy it at outpost.com for $4.99 after a $50 rebate.

I just ordered Pinnacle Studio 8 from Outpost yesterday. For $10 shipped, why not. I have been getting the best results with Sonic MyDVD (and it has not crashed yet). But it is limited in features.
I tried Roxio VideoWave for the first time this evening. It has a lot of nice features and seemed to put together a nice movie, but it did a crappy job of burning the DVD. The audio had a modulation noise (a beat, I guess you would call it) and the video seemed jumpy. Maybe I'll try again but use a different package to burn the DVD......
