ffmpegx not working from dvd? can't tell the errors?

below is what i get when i try to have my input from a dvd, i also tried from vobs too, but didn't save the terminal output, but the never worked either. installation said it was successful. i'm trying to use the mplayer decode to get subs and i can't really decipher from below what the problem is. any help would be much appreciated.

Is your error only when going dvd to svcd or also dvd to divx?
In the first case, download ffmpegX 0.0.6f available tomorrow, which fixes some small problems which may happen in some case.
