Hello.

I recently purchased a new computer with a DVD burner (see my profile for details), and I have successfully burned 4 DVD+RW's so far using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.

However, each time, the software seems to have a problem at the very end of the burn process. Every time, I have either gotten an error message, or the software has simply frozen at the end of the burn process (requiring a hard reboot to eject the disc). However, on all 4 occasions, the DVD+RW plays fine in my home DVD player, despite the problems.

Here are some of the error messages I have received:

Generic error from CD/DVD recording software. Please make sure the drive is ready and try again. Error: DVD+RW-SPT1-35-02-03-02-00 [93006:1:)] <--This error came up as soon as the "Recording DVD" process finished during my first DVD+RW attemptand also during my 3rd DVD+RW attempt.

Unable to eject the disc. [93006:1:0] <--This error came up during the "Fixating DVD" process (towards the end of the burn process) during my second DVD+RW attempt.

During my 4th attempt, after the "Fixating DVD" proces, I waited about 5 minutes (during which time the light on the drive was off), and nothing happened. This whole time, all of the buttons on the software were greyed-out. I tried pushing the eject button on the drive several times, and nothing happened. Eventually, I had to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to end the Ulead software. Still, the disc would not eject. I eventually had to do a manual reboot (by pressing the power button), because I could not shut down the computer by the standard method. (I kept getting an error message that said "WkUFind.exe - DLL Initialization Failed - The application failed to initialize because the window station is shutting down.") However, like the first 3 DVD burn attempts, after I was finally able to eject the disc, it plays find in my DVD player.

So.... what's going on here? It doesn't seem normal to me to get an error or freeze-up at the end of every DVD burn. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for any help!!
