    Hello
I've also got the 7700 delux so here goes.....
Do you get audio but can't record it or is there no audio in at all. Do you get audio OK with other apps, do you get audio OK when using say a microphone etc. Are you using a soundcard or is it onboard.
LOTS of questions I know but...
As far as I know there isn't an audio through from the
g-card to the soundcard or m-board so it may be only taking the video signal and processing that.
I am trying to think how you are doing this - my card only has a tv output - no input other than the s-video connection. Are you just hooking this up to the tv signal, if so I think that you will not get audio.
I input all video signals, from vcr, dvd, tv whatever via the s-video adaptor and use the soundcards (creative pro) inputs for the audio. For this you must use the multimedia dialogues in control panel as well as the sound properties to make sure everything is set up to take in audio - basically enable everything and see. Note even if you can hear audio doesn'y mean that you r pc is enable to record it.
Give me more info on what you're doing and how you are hooked up and I'll think some more...
    cheers

Ok I 've just read your other posts.....
This is going to be a problem because as I say as far as I know the asus is video in/out only you will need to route the signal to your soundcard first.
Try puting an adaptor on the coaxial so it goes straight into your soundcard - no video input yet. If you get sound (I'm not sure if you'll get interference like this or not) you'll know that there is nothing wrong with your set up only the input method.
A long shot but you can try and just split the coaxial into two outputs - you can get boxes for this - a bit pricey but probably no more than say 100 marks (£30-35). Or you could try just soldering a link from one plug to another, you know earth to earth and cor to core. Then plug in one lead to you asus for video and the other to your soundcard for audio.
This may cos interference big time though cos of the common earth so before doing this turn all your audio inputs to low.
    Good luck
