Hello,
I just wanted to know what is the max bitrate allowed for MPEG-1 when authoring DVD. TMPEGenc's PAL Low resolution shows 1850.
I have some old VHS to rip, some being well aged and I think spending loads of time encoding it in high res doesn't worth it.

I think you could capture at 352 x 480 with MPEG2. This format is acceptable for DVD standard.
I don't know if we can name it as a DVD format, but it is one of the allowed formats for DVDs. -
The max mpeg1 bitrate is around 1850.
