  2. Sounds like you want to multiplex (aka mux) a video and audio source to generate one MPEG file, is that correct. If so you should have two files:

    video - m1v, m2v, mpv
    audio - mpa, mp2

mp3 audio is not supported in MPEG1/MPEG2 files (only MPEG4 DivX files). Check out:

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/faq#multiplex

for more info on how to do this. Question why/how did you get the de-muxed video/audio files???

  3. thanks vejita....i figured out the sound problem...what i do is rename the .mp2's to .mp3..and then join them..with mp3 joiner..and then i convert it to .mp2 with Complete Audio Converter..only problem is....i have like a 30 day free trial....so...need to find some freeware apps...
but i would like to address my bigger problem... its joining svcd mpegs...its ridiculous.when you use tmpgenc...and join 2 files.. you get sound + video = only video...i have to do some wicked de-mux'ing..and then re-mux with the converted or cut audio........takes a lot of time...should just put it on dvd as 2 files

Remember when you are encoding an audio file to .mp2 then it must be CBR encoded before. Else you cannot trust the sync after the encoding have finished.

You must Demultiplex the audio streams to .mp2 and then to uncompressed .wav file.
Then merge the 2 files. Then encode the merged file back to .mp2 and multiplex with TMpgEnc again.

But to make sure that I understand you right, I will try to make a list of what I think you got, and what you want.

    As I understand you got:

2 .mpg files with 1 video stream and 1 audio stream in both.
2 .mp2 files that will be the second audio stream.

You wan't to make this into ONE big .mpg file with 2 audio stream and 1 video stream.... RIGHT ???

Else tell me what you EXACTLY got and EXACTLY wan't, and I will make a guide for you.

Why do you want to join them? The only reason I can think of is if you want to split them somewhere else.

If you are burning to SVCD you can add more than one mpeg to your compilation without joining.

  12. change your audio files to mpg - then use TMPGenc / tools.
    use the merge/cut tab
add your first then your second audio file
then run and create your new .mpg file

NOW YOU MUST RE-MAKE & ENCODE THIS .mpg FILE USING TMPGenc
( ES AUDIO ONLY ) select this at start up

a usable .mp2 file with perfect sync is now created.

  13. omg..i love you.lol...thanks...=)..saved me a lot of time messing with all these joiners...but just to make it clear what i wanted to do was.i had this movie...with 3 parts....and in the 2nd and 3rd parts..it repeated the previous 3 seconds of the last part...so i wanted to cut that out.but when i did with tmpgenc.all the audio went to shit.so i wanted to get the audio from the original file...convert it to mp3.or to wav->mp3..and then back to mp2...hopefully what you said will work... major problem i had wasE™Y– sound being too early or too late
