  1. Anyone get the following error in TMPGEnc when trying to split a SVCD??

'Could not open this file with DirectShow. (0x80040218)
Detail: "some strange characters here" '

Any ideas how I can get this to work?? Any other suggestions on how to split an SVCD?? All the other tools listed on the site are only demo's.

Use bbMPEG. Its freeware. Get it here:

    Follow the guide here:

  3. Hey, thanks for the reply! Ok, I cut the SVCD using bbMPEG, but upon burning it with Nero and slapping it in the DVD player, the audio is totally out of sync!!! Also, some of the video is jerky as well.

Prior to demultiplexing the mpeg2 for use with bbMPEG, I changed the evironmental settings (I've heard this can mess up the encoding if not changed).

Any ideas as to why I'd be having these problems??

    Thanks!!!!
