  1. All I want to do is create DVD's of the clips i author in Premier 6.5 and Pinnacle Impression SE.
I Can convert the Premier projects into a range of different outputs.
eg. Mpeg2 for DVD is one of the presets.
Impression SE will allow me add menu etc and author the DVD. Create a DVD image in HDD but wont seem to 'burn' it to DVD. It insists the DVD disk needs to be erased (even though its formatted) and sits there for hours seemingly doing nothing.

So... maybe I'm being stupid here.... but can I create DVD's that will play in my Toshiba DVD player.

I have a Matsushita DVD Ram drive LF-D310 in the PC.
    Is it possible ?

I also have available Prassio Primo DVD software (which fails with a 'Runtim error code 11' 'divide overflow zero' as soon as a disc is inserted into the DVD drive.

I also have INSTANT CD-DVD and Nero 5.5 inc Express....

Help... it all seemed to be going so well.

    Do you have a DVD-R or a DVD-RW drive?

  3. I have a Matsushita DVD RAM Drive which I understand to be DVD-R and DVD-RW. But how do I check for sure.....no documentation came with the PC for the drive.
I can now use a DVD Ram disk as a RAM disk and copy files to it as if its another HDD. That works.
I've managed to burn via NERO a VIDEO_TS directory created by Impression. Once burned, At first, removing the DISK and re-loading the DISK, automatically started PowerDVD and played it as a DVD video succesfully. But second time round, powerDVD would only open the disk in a 'explorer' style and I had to select a VOB to run. Hardly what I want...but the picture looked OK.

The disk still wouldnt play in my Toshiba DVD Player (SD-22VB) at all.
    So close..... and yet......
