Evening all,
This is from a previous discussion that has, to some
extent become an issue (with me) from another area (post).
Anyways, in short, the disscussion was about spy-ware and
crap like that. Surfice it to say, Yes, I have ben one of
there candidates for spying on.
After running Ad-Ware 5.0, below are the results and of
course I wasn't too thrilled about it, I don't want to
make too big a deal of this issue though!!
You may have to click on the image if it doesn't display
and animate properly. Else if link doesn't work, please
right click it and copy/paste into your browser window
and click on image once it displays. Should take about
30+ seconds to load at 56k.

Not too big a problem then, just Webhancer
The program was running when you tried to delete it. I personally would not use Adaware to delete things, it has been known to corrupt peoples machines. in this case there would be no problem telling it to delete, and then run Adaware again on bootup a second time to finish the job.
By the way, you can save the log, much better than animated gif's-

Yeah this freaking Ad-ware program totally screwed up my system when I was removing Webhancer. I couldn't access any internet. I don't hate the program though, it does work but it COULD be better and SAFER.
Tom Green Sucks! -
Yes, Winsock. You suppose to re-boot and run the program a second time to finish off.It should do this automatically like many programs that cannot be removed while they are running. It does not do a very good job of telling people this.
I think its safer just to use it to detect only, then remove them manually. -
Sorry,
I forgot to respond.
letmeinforgodsake, I did run it a second time, and it did delete those files, and following that, I had NO trouble with my system or getting on the internet!
So, all in all, it was a success!
Thank you! -
Oops,
Yep!!
But, I might add, I have no problems - yet!
At least, none that I can see. -
So why not install Grokster without making a backup ?. Or a server without making a backup.
Or getting your email without making a backup, sorry Am I getting carried away ?
