Hi for Christmas I upgrade my old computer (PII) for my sister with a PIII-500 (that's all the motherboard could handle, plus her computer is a PI so I thought it would still be a decent upgrade), I noticed when I played vcds through the cd-rom using PowerDVD(she doesn't have a DVD) the video looked weird sort of like glass paned window. I think its the video card which is a Productiva G100 which could have up to 8mb of video ram.VCDs look fine on my computer which is P4 with an ATI AIW 7500.
So my two questions are: Do vcds play poorly on computers with low video ram ? And if I wanted to get her a tv tuner card would it be worth it, if she does have low video ram ?
Thanks in advance
