I'm trying to join two avi files into one avi file using virtualdub but I get the error message saying "Cannot append segment: the audio streams have different block sizes (1 vs 4)"....
What can I do?

I'm not sure if this work for everyone, but it worked for me:
Use virtauldub to convert the sampling rate of the audio in one avi to the same as the other.
Open the first video file and do this:
Audio->full processing mode
Audio->Compression-None
Audio->Conversion-> new sampling rate
File->save wave
Now do Audio->wav audio (select new wav file)
Video->direct stream copy
File->Save avi, and save a new copy of the avi
Repeat for second avi and join.
