    Sorry if this has been answered, but I didn't see it in my search. Can the Panasonic record to the hard drive and burn a DVD at the same time? In other words, if I connect my video camera, can I create a DVD and back the footage up on the hard drive at the same time?

    No it cannot. Only one or the other at any given time.
    But that doesn't mean you can't record directly to the HS2's HDD first then dub it to DVD-R later.
