Before I use my life savings I have a question

I have searched the form sections and I can't find a definate answer to my question so here it is...
In creating menus whith Nero 5.5 or Easy Cd creator 5.0 is there a way to have a short like 3 sec video clip play in the place where you would put a still picture on the main menu???? I want to have a menu that would show like 6 different 3 sec vid clips and then if you want to see the whole video clip then you just choose the number and press play......if this is not possible with either of these programs...please let me know what programs can do this sO I can go spend my hard earned cash...thanks

Sorry i'm working out this menuing stuff myself but i can tell you nero won't do what you want. I don't know any program that will do what you want on cd unless your player will play MiniDVD. In which case there are several apps. If you have an Apex player i've heard there is a epprom flash that will allow it to play MiniDVD.

I've just downloaded the update of Nero 5.5.4.0. Where does it mention anything about DVD burning and creating menus? ||I'm asking this because I'm just about to buy a Pioneer A03 and want to find a good package to work with.

In response to agines311's post, this is not natively possible with any program.

The only way to do this is to use a video editing program to create a short video clip with the individual small clips embedded in it. A proggy such as Adobe Premiere should be able to achieve this.

You can then encode that video clip to a VCD compatible MPEG-1 and use that as the background to your menu. Indeed, even DVDs do it this way.
