Burning Programs Confusion.....Compatibility

I'm using nero to burn on dvd-r and in my sony dvp-ns705 i had no problems so far.

But in my other dvd Samsung SV DVD1E i'm having this weird problem.

The dvd-r starts ok and the movie plays ok until it freezes or jumping from a chapter to another..... I used primo dvd to write dvd-r instead of nero but the same AGAIN!!!!!

Is it the dvd-r media??? Is it the Burnng Programm??? Or is it the player??? I'm confused because the Samsung CAN READ the disc but not for long!!!!!

are you sure the Samsung can play dvd-r. because if it plays fine in the sony then there shouldn't be anything wrong with your media or burning software. but then again some media is not as good as the other. so if your Samsung can play dvd-r. then you might want to find some better media............
