What are you guys using to get those pictures in the guides?

The pictures of your computer screen in the how-to guides. What software are you using?

Theres a little button on your keyboard that says "Prt Scr" (short for print screen) right next to F12. Press that and it will copy whats on the screen to the clipboard. Then use your favorite photo program to crop and such.

or to avoid cropping and such press Alt-Prt Scn and it will only capture the active window, then paste it into MS Paint or whatever and save it.

Oh boy... DUH! But now you must tell me something else. How do I get my images down to 30k? My cap computer is a very stripped down version of windows 2k. I have only MSPaint and Kodak imaging. For smaller pictures I can get by. On bigger ones I lose too much quality. I simply refuse to load up my cap computer with all kind of software (not that I even really can with no modem!). How about ideas on a small (1.44MB) and below simple picture editing tool?

If you want to stick with .bmp files, just decrease your "Color Palette" and probably resolution. If not... you will have to convert to ... for example .jpg

I always just save them as JPG from MS Paint, a 640x480 picture saves at about 70KB+/-
