As a newbie on this forum - this may have been discussed here - but I coudn't find any reference to it.
I just have bought a Canopus ADVC-100 + ADS Pyro 1394DV, and started capturing my old VHS tapes into DV-AVI format (type 1 or 2).
My questions are:
1. Can I watch while I capture on my hi-rez PC screen ?
2. Will real-time 'watching-on-screen' cause potential frame drops ?

Yes you can watch while you capture but the audio sometimes gets disabled during the preview. It should not cause frame drops.
