  1. Hi, I have had a few people that have said that My DVD's have picture but no sound. My pioneer 343 player, and Playstaion2 will play these DVD's fine. Is there something that I can tell these people that are having Problems with this DVD-R.

I capture using pcm audio at 48 khz, dual channel stereo.
I use Ulead DVD workshop to create the DVD folders and files.

    Thanks,
    Vizcaya

Are you authoring with PCM or mpeg audio (you can do either with v1.3) MPEG audio is not part of the NTSC DVD spec, and some older players can't handle it I'm told. Of course, I don't know if you're authoring NTSC. . . .

  3. Thanks for the reply, I am recording using PCM, and the player is:
    Acoustic Solutions DVD551

This is a interesting problem that I cannot figure out.

    Thanks

  4. Tell your friends with no audio to mess around with the settings on their DVD player or A/V receiver. On DVDs I make with PCM audio, I must manually tell my A/V preamp to play back in stereo mode if it is already set to DD or DTS. It wil automatically switch between DD and DTS, but won't auto switch to stereo.
