  1. Hi everyone. I'm very new to this (thats putting it nicely) and I have a few questions. I have used Smart ripper to get the vob files from the CD and a guide, from here, told me to use DVD2AVI.exe, so i did. So it made a huge wav file and a small file ( .d2v ?). Then it said to use TMPGEnc to make it a movie file, so i did. The problem is that the movie is tiny! I'v tried everything I can think of to make it bigger but if I do it makes the movie glitch like mad. Is there a better way to convert the vob files so I can get a better movie from it? DVD2AVI said the size is 720x480 but that doesnt seem to work. These programs are very new to me and I think its my fault that the movie is so small but I dont know how to fix it. As it sits now I have three huge .vob files because I deleted the wav and the mpeg files. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

Almost forgot: The movie I am trying to make is "The One" which I own on DVD (I payed for it).

  2. You have a dvd. What are you trying to make it into? Some choices to play on a stand alone dvd player are dvd, svcd, vcd. Some choices to play it on a computer are all of the above plus divx, avi.

Are you doing this to learn the details? This can be fun but time consuming. Or are you looking for a 1 step solution?
