I am new to burning DVD’s and just purchased the Panasonic DMR-HS2. There is an option on this unit for “VCR + Plus” that seems to be a good idea but I don’t know much about it. I have cable and it looks as if I will always have to go through my cable box to view any pay per view or HBO type of movies. Is there a way around this? It would be nice to program movies to record without worrying if someone changed the channel on the box or have it record while I watch something else! Does Direct TV dish systems have this same problem?
