  1. I am planing to make DVD from my family videos. On the begining I wan't to burn only one DVD for me, but later on I am planning to make copy for family too. Is it OK just put my DVD into DVD-ROM drive and make copy directly. or should I preserve my original files that first DVD was burned from for futher copies ?

Is there any big disadvantige of copying DVDs directly from DVD-ROM ???

I ahve a panasonic E-30 DVD recorder I use to make/burn DVDs on. I also avhe a computer with both a DVD-ROM (old old creative job) and a DVD-R burnner. I simply pop in a DVD in the ROM unit and copy it using NERO. BTW they are on teh same IDE port/cable.

So far that is the only way I ahve used my computer DVD burnner.
