ok i have a DVD burner, the Pioneer DVR-A05. and when i rip the DVD off the CD it only goes at 2x ? what could be causing this? the read speed is 12x DVD so i dont understand.. please help

anyone?? this is bugging me that i use smartripper and it only goes at 2x ,tried other progs to max i see is 2x

Many players are like this - they only rip movies at 2x, as an attempt to keep copying them at bay.

I'm pretty sure it actually isn't the player, but more likely the movie. What would make me say that? Because my DVD-Rom is 16x and some movies rip at 10-12X, while others only rip at 1-2x with BOTH Decrypter and Ripper.

Yeah - then you're right. I thought you meant that ALL movies ripped at 2x. This is the way my Sony is.
