  1. I made a VCD with Easy CD Creator. It plays fine on the pc but not on the DVD player. The player recognizes the disk as VCD but when I hit play it does'nt do anything.

The first thing to do is check the DVD Players list to the left. Make sure you additionally read the reports and comments section for your player as this can give you additional insight as to what works and what doesn't.

Additional information is needed to help you further. For instance you said you created a VCD in Easy CD Creator...did you just drop a video file into Easy CD Creator? If you did that did you leave the VCD compliance checks on? Did you actually capture it yourself, or encode with another program to MPEG format and then burn in Easy CD Creator? Did you create a VCD image with another program and burn the image with Easy CD Creator? Did you record to CD-R or CD-RW? Sometimes that makes a difference. There are many ways to do this.

  3. Had the same problem myself. Also use Toshiba DVD player. Switched to Nero or VCD Easy to burn the VCD and all worked fine.

  4. Did you create menus in EZ CD? They totally suck. My Sony won't play VCDs authored in EZ CD either, and I think it all has to do with the menus. Switch to Nero, VCDEasy, or basically anything but EZ CD. Good luck!

I used Nero to make my VideoCD. Did it on Imation cd-r. What i have to do to get it started is press 1. That loads the first pic then hit the Skip button to flip thru each pic. I have the Tosh. sd1200. I wish i could figure out how it to play DVD-Rs. only certain movies play.

  6. Toshiba dvd player model SD-1200 (If I knew then what I know now I wouldnt have bought it lol)

    for VCD Nero works fine

for SVCD Use Roxio Video Pack 5, and demux and then remux your movie before burning. Once remuxed you can burn with Nero or VideoPack. If you dont remux you will get A/V sync problems.

  7. I used Premiere to create a Mpeg with a plugin. It is just a collection of stills with transitions and music. I made sure it was saved in VCD compoatable format. I then just opened Easy Cd Creator and used the wizard to make the VCD. I don't have any menus. The DVD shows that there is 1 track and 6:16 on the CD but will not play. Tried with CD-R and CD-RW.
