Hi,
I have the following problem:
When I want to burn a Divx into VCD, I use TMPGEnc on my PC to make the conversion (pAl to pal) . The mpg I get is pretty good, I don't have any problem. I can view it without any problem.
When I burn this file using Toast on Mac, the movie I get have a big problem. The images are jerked (choppy). They go suddenly more quickly then slow down. It would be said that speed is not constant.
Does anyone know what can be the origine of this problem?

Sounds like variable bitrate where the player expects a constant bitrate and uses the bitrate for timing. Maybe you create a MPG with variable bitrate and tell Toast to create a compliant VCD. A compliant VCD has a constant bitrate and maybe Toast alters the MPEG.
Just a thought...

Hi,
You may be right, the bitrate is fixed on my mpg file, but there is no possibility to specify any bitrate in Toast.
I will check further!
