I'm semi new to all this so I was wondering if some people would be kind enough to answer a couple questions. I'm going to be converting VHS/Camcorder Home Videos to DVD or other Digital Media. I'll be using the Canopus ADVC-100 as my capture device. So I'm looking at the best software for converting to and from DV. I'll be starting off doing this mostly for myself and a some friends for a little extra cash to make the software and hardware pay for itself. My DVD Writer will be the new Sony DRU500A.
So what Software should I use to:
Capture?
Edit?
Convert? (DV to MPEG2/4 and maybe even back to DV)
How many hours of VHS quality Video can I get on a 4.7 GB DVD-R/+R
Thanks in Advance
Jesse

I've decided to get Vegas Video 3.0 to do my editing. The price is a bit
to put it bluntly, but the people who have it seem to like it and I wanted the manuals and the extras.
