  1. Hi, I have an old Bluray 3D player which was a family members who passed away a few months ago. I took the player as noone in the family wanted it. Upon playing discs I noticed that it wouldn't read any Bluray discs I put in it but would read DVDs. Obviously must be a fault somewhere. The machine just makes a strange whirring noise when trying to read the disc, and then says "disc can't be read" then displays the eject symbol. I've tried the discs (the ones that aren't 3D) and an X Box and they play fine, so must the Bluray 3D player that has a fault. I'm guessing this due to the laser not being able to read bluray discs?.

I think the player is about 14 years old so pretty old. The make of the machine is by ONN which is/was a make sold by ASDA in the UK, so likely a cheap player.

I've had that happen as well. Google Says the Red LED has either failed, is dirty or the player needs a firmware update. Usually the solution is to find an electronics recycling facility that is willing to take the player off your hands for free. The alternative is to find the model of the internal Blu-ray player and hope to find a replacement available "somewhere". Good luck.
