Corel Video Studio mp4 files

I have just bought a DJI Osmo 6 action to compliment my GoPro 9. No problems editing with the gopro files in my Coral Video Studio 2020. However I am unable to insert DJI Osmo 6 files into my 2020 version, just error messages and disables the program. Corel Support says upgrade to 2023 version which I did but I have the same problem with the 2023 version. What is wrong! Going crazy with this, please help.

A quick google states your camera records .mp4 (x265). Google confirms even your previous Corel version was able to support this common format, so something is clearly amiss. You really should be talking to Corel support, as they should not have advised you to waste the upgrade cost, but helped resolve the issue.

DJI Osmo uses MP4 (HEVC/h.265) to save recordings. According to Corel Video Studio, the software can import and handle these files. Try converting your DJI Osmo files to MP4 (AVC/H.264), and then verify whether the Corel software can properly process the footage.

Hello. You can use ffmpeg to convert Osmo Action videos to Video studio accepted input format. See following Osmo Action format and Input format for Video Studio:

You can use cmdline to execute ffmpeg commands to investigate and convert video files.

MP4 (H.264/HEVC).

In Windows ffmpeg can be installed with winget.

After this, I got videos imported to video studio.

I did also install "HEVC Video Extensions" from Microsoft Store, was 0,99 € for me. Not sure if this is needed, but this is what was done before conversion.
