Online video streaming downloader

Hi

what is your recommendation for a downloader of online videos in various websites. I am mostly using sites other than the common ones such as Youtube.

For example this site: https://www.vandaaginside.nl/sport/ek-voetbal/videos/bas-stellig-over-penalty-voor-eng...elijke-ingreep

Some extensions that I tried with the above link on my Brave Browser - Video Downloader Professional, M3U8 downloader, Videodownloader plus etc. lists many video links with the name "index" each with less than 1MB of size. that doesn't contain anything.

They don't list a single video file.

I've run into the same issue with a few streaming sites. Browser extensions often only detect the playlist or index files instead of the actual video stream. In those cases, tools like `yt-dlp` usually work better, although they can take some time to learn. If you're looking for an easier browser-based solution, it really depends on which website you're downloading from, since not every downloader supports every platform.

I tested `yt-dlp`, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to support Kuaishou consistently. That's one of the reasons I started looking for other solutions.

I also noticed that some browser extensions only detect playlists or fail after Kuaishou updates its website.

Has anyone here found a method that still works reliably with public Kuaishou video links?
