  1. Hello,
    My problem is sometimes (50% of the time) when I attempt to convert some .avi file to .mpg format, I receive an error message within 3 second after the TMPGE starts encoding the file. The error pops up without any explanation as to the nature of the error only an appearently random 12 - 15 digit number.

    I have GSpot2, and it tells me that I have all the encoders that are needed to view and hear the file.

    This also occurs sometime when I attemp to split an .mpg file.

    It is driving me MAD, MAD, MAD. I would prefer not to keep trashing these file that I can view on my computer but cannot put on CDs.

    please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

    And your Direct Show priority is set at 2 or higher?
    Hello.

  3. What do you mean priority 2 or higher, and what does that do?

  4. Ok, I figured out where the priority setting were and changed them to 2. TMPGE still gives me an error as described above. The particular movie I tried was DivX4.

    My Setting are now as follows:
    AVI2=3
    BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG=3
    MPEG-1=3
    MPEG-2=1
    AVI VFW=0
    DirectShow=0
    Wave=0

    HELP!!
