  1. Hello. In a VCR Panasonic NV-HD700EG i have a mysterious problem. All work fine and it plays but after 3-15 minutes the drum stops spinning and the table reels stop rotating. The tape stays threaded on the drum. It does not shut down or show any errors on screen. Just sits there. Buttons on the front can be pressed and it shows on the display they are pressed (Stop, FF, RW), but nothing happens. If i turn it off and turn it on again it can be operated for several minutes until it repeats the problem and halts. I recapped the power supply but all capacitor were within tolerance and the output voltages are there. When it stopped playing, i measured all the voltages and they were there. It smells fishy but i don't know were to look. The problem One thing i noticed in the power supply was a resistor 68KΩ (R1103, Page 42 on service manual) that was really hot, almost 100 degrees Celsius (210 Fahrenheit), but the voltages are there when it produces the fault. Any idea where to look at?
