I've always found Subtitle Edit quite hard to use especially as I don't want to use it every day - or week - I guess; each time I need to fiddle with subs I have to try to re-learn the procedure. However I recently came across the above and of course I also had to download MKVtool nix and yesterday I managed to successfully and quite easily strip the subs and make the necessary adjustments. So I don't have a problem with the software itself just the management of it.

    I've encountered two problems with MKVCleaver, the first is that when I download v0801 I can run the executable from the download folder and it works well. However if I move the file to another folder - MKVCleaver - and try and run it from there I get an error and I can't work out why that should be. The other problem is that Windows won't let me install v0802 - This app can't run on your machine!

    Any help will be appreciated

    Forget MKVCleaver ..
    use clever FFmpeg-GUI
    There is nothing wrong .. with my environment
