I have noticed something interesting when converting TS files to MKV using MKV tools. The MediaInfo data shows the TS 1080i/25fps files converting to 1080i/50fps. I set the compression dropdown to No Compression. Beyond that, I don't change anything in MKV Tools.
These are soccer games from 2010-2015. Why would the framerate change?
FYI, I don't necessarily need to change the files but if I make them MKV, I can view the games through my Roku device. This is the easiest option for me to view the games.
Thanks for any information about this situation.

Maybe just naming conventions.. There's no such thing as 50 interlaced frames per second, most likely 25i (50 fields)
