While this project has been available since 2013, it was mostly used exclusively by television stations, I wrote it originally as a collection of BASH scripts. It received a TCL-TK GUI in late 2013 (which was pretty incredible) but has recently been upgraded to Python3 with a QT UI. While still a work-in-progress, it has been updated to include a live Streaming Manager, local single or multi file queue conversion and a new service configuration which allows drop folders (network shareable) running in the background.
Yes, is uses ffmpeg.
This is a completely different take on ffmpeg GUIs. Nothing is in stone and you can add any of the hundreds of options ffmpeg provides with a manual options field.
Still lots to do, but it's working well now as a local drag and drop encoder. Still using the older FreeFactoryConversion.tcl for daemon control. Contributors most welcomed.
Please test and report.

FreeFactoryQT is a complete rewrite of the original TCL/TK version which was originally developed in 2013 but never really released publicly.
A Few Key Features:- Allows building conversion "Factories" using point and click interface.
- Quickly prototype new FFmpeg command lines for multiple uses using point and click command builder.
- Drag and drop direct file conversion (ideal for testing Factories before assigning to a drop folder).
- Allows nearly every available FFmpeg option that's not part of the UI by using the Manual In/Out fields.
- Support for subtitles and sidecar subtitles currently being developed.
- Support for sidecar SCTE35 currently being developed.
- Live Stream and Recording Manager.
- Full Background Service for building Drop Folders (Optional).
- Single serial encoding via frontend or parallel encoding via FreeFactoryNotify-service (hardware dependent).
- Built-in Help using your currently installed version of FFmpeg.
- Now includes a Flags Builder for -flags, -flags2 and -fflags making using FFmpeg flags much easier. Full tooltips to guide you.
- Video Advanced tab now supports many options needed for Broadcast ready formats (mpeg2, mxf, etc).
