Remove close captions when ripping a DVD

Is there a software that removes close captions leaving the DVD rip DVD compliant ?
With the DVD folders VIDEO-TS & AUDIO_TS with the .BUP , .IFO , & .VOB files.
I have software that can remove the subtitles during a DVD rip.
It does not remove the close captions like EIA-608 .

If they are burned-in to the video.....nothing will get rid of that.

You could try clever FFmpeg-GUI.
You must work on the single VTS_xx_x.vobs (e.g. VTS_01_1.VOB) of your main movie.
Start with _1.VOB (not _0.VOB), then _2.VOB aso for all vobs, one each time.
Load the first VOB, answer NO to the question,

click main page, click extract EIA 608/708 captions.
Select Delete, click delete.

The captions should be deleted now on the output vob.
Play it to see, if the captions are removed.
If so, replace the original VOB with the new created one.

@ ProWo,
I will give it a try.
I did the same with FFMPEG command line. (Or almost the same).
The video did not play when "Play with VLC" was selected.
I had to open the directory in VLC to play.
I did not try to burn it to a DVD RW.To check if my settop player would play the DVD.
Maybe Clever will do a better job.

Tested Clever. Same results as FFMPEG with command line.

The close captions are not "burned in".
They can be selected from a VLC dropdown under "Subtitle".
