I just got an RTX 5080 card, but when I select the Nvidia encoder, I get an error dialog that says "BD-RB could not confirm NVENC capability. Cannot select."
Is this because the card is newer than the current version of BD Rebuilder?

Try this. It worked for me
Setting your video card (GPU) for specific programs in Windows
Windows allows you to specify which graphics processor (GPU) a particular application should use, especially useful if you have both an integrated GPU and a more powerful dedicated graphics card.
Here's how to configure this setting:
1. Accessing graphics settings
Open Windows Settings (by pressing the Windows key + I).
Navigate to System > Display.
Scroll down and select Graphics settings.
2. Adding the application (if needed)
If your desired application is already listed, proceed to the next step.
If not, under "Choose an app to set preference", select the appropriate app type (e.g., "Desktop app" for installed programs).
Click Browse and locate the application's executable (.exe) file.
Click Add.
3. Specifying the GPU preference
Select the application from the list.
Click Options.
Choose your desired GPU preference:
Let Windows decide: The default setting, allowing Windows to determine the best GPU for the application.
Power saving: Prioritizes the integrated GPU, potentially conserving battery life.
High performance: Forces the application to use the dedicated (more powerful) GPU.
Click Save. -
This is much easier https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads?target_os=Windows&target_arch=x86_64&targe...type=exe_local i use this all the time for bd rebuilder to anything to use the NVidia card i have so maybe it will work for you.

Go to the folder where you have extracted BD Rebuilder.
Go to the folder BD_Rebuilder\Tools\NVENC.
Open a CMD (command prompt) in that folder and type:
NVEncC.exe --check-hw
You should see an output similar to:
NVEncC (x86) 5.41 (r2064) by rigaya, Oct 14 2021 13:59:26 (VC 1929/Win)
