I can't remember the exact name, but someone made a very simple GUI where you can open 2 videos side by side (Source Vs Encode) and then use a slider to move through frames and capture screenshots. (Something like VirtualDub2)
It was something related to AviSynth, VapourSynth in Doom9 or this forum thread
Please if someone can find it lemme know. I don't want any script or CLI solutions. Only GUI

You might check this one: https://files.videohelp.com/u/198160/Comparator.7z
I made it years ago and kind of never returned to it again, it was good enough for me, but it should work.
Drop two videos on exe file, you might wait a bit for indexing to finish (if that will be the case) and then you can use mouse scroll to zoom in or out , also drawing a rectangle to video and enter or double-click will select zoom. Pressing "1" and "2" key on keyboard to change between videos, play videos, pause it, or use slider, you can bookmark particular frames and it remembers even zoom as well.
If it is slow, uncheck opencv_YUV and opencv_HSV readings (YUV or RGB readings still work for pixels). To get rid of unnecessary overhead.Last edited by _Al_; 2nd Jun 2025 at 21:50.
