  1. Hello all,
Thanks to the amazing guidance on this forum I have successfully extracted the keys to a sports streaming service which I pay for. I'd like to stream the service using VLC as the service is unsupported on Linux.

I have noticed that once the MPD links have been extracted, their contents can be viewed even despite not being logged in to the service. In other words, if I save the MPD URL and log out, I can still open its contents. Are these MPD links uniquely generated for my account? It seems quite surprising if anyone can stream the channel without an account if they have one, non-unique, MPD link and the keys (which seem to be regenerated every six months or so).

What is the risk of streaming the MPD link in VLC? If the MPD link is not unique to my account, is there a risk I could be seen as an unauthorised user attempting to steal the service? Is the service provider able to identify if someone is fetching the stream outside of the official website?

There's no risk. While they could in theory implement some kind of mechanism to check if you're streaming from their site/app, no one bothers really. And even if they do, it won't be to ban your account, it would be instead simply to stop you from streaming in VLC. So you can safely stream whatever you want as long as you know how, with no repercussions
