2) why don't update TVDownloader.exe to invoke "real" yt-dlp instead yt-dlp "disguised" as youtube-dl ?

1/ Portable? I will consider.
2/ yt-dlp? because I originally coded using youtube-dl. Out of "lazyness", I did not yet change the code.

Just to say I have noticed in the last few weeks I can not download anymore certain shows from stv player or itvx now here in the UK. I presume itv / stv have simply added some kind of DRM protection to these ?

A pretty reasonable assumption. The sites keep making changes to clamp down on their content, and the downloader apps need to continue updating and adjusting countermeasures to keep pace with this.

Would be possible add headers, like tokens, for example, for download it bypassed it and not got error 403 forbiden for not add the token?

When clicking the download button in the program I get "youtube-dl not a valid windows application" or something like that. I am running WinXP Pro w/SP3, I thought the program worked with XP.

Solutions?
