My VCR has recently begun to display video like the video shows. Sometimes it fades in and out smoothly, sometimes the frame seems to slip upwards and snap back down.
I have tested the VHS tapes in another VCR and it works fine.
Can anyone provide any light as to what is causing this and whether it is fixable?
Thanks

Tape is not moving smoothly through the machine. Clean the tape path. Check the pinch roller; if it is hardened, cracked, or misshapen it needs replacement.

7600EK is worth fixing.
This is probably mechanical issue with belts, maybe alignment. Just need to troubleshoot with service manual.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
