I need to acquire some HDMI cables and a splitter for the video signal from my security camera.

Here's the video specs of the camera:

I'm confused that the Hz and fps numbers don't match.

Splitter specs say things like they can support 4K@30hz, or for more money 4K@120. What splitter specs should I look for?

Do a hz vs fps on google and it will explain what you need to know.

Thank you very much for your reply, John! (I had actually done that exact google before I posted.)

I think I know what Hz and fps mean, but I'm not sure what it means for cable bandwidth requirements. For example for 20fps@60Hz I think I know that the same frame will display on three straight refreshes. In practice does that mean that I only need a cable to support 20Hz, or the whole 60Hz?

Er, now that I say that out loud I guess that it's the latter since splitter specs are listed as Hz?

  4. It doesn't look like the camera outputs HDMI, just digital video via USB. What's the model?

  6. It's not clear exactly what the camera supports via HDMI but since it supports 4K video at 20 Hz, and some lower resolutions up to 60 Hz, you should be fine with an HDMI 2.0 cable. Same for the splitter.

Where do you get that it supports 4K video at 20Hz? I only see 50Hz and 60Hz listed.

  9. It will do 20 frames per second in 60hz mode (USA) and 20 and 25 frames per second in 50hz mode (EU/asia/other countries) depending on resolution

    4k 60hz
