  1. Im trying to download subs from TUBITV.

yt-dlp does not recognise them as subs but if a go into the network in dev tools i can see the subs endpoint is https://tubitv.com/oz/videos/srt?srtUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fs.adrise.tv%2F85b0248d-ac31-49be-...76d13a3f12.srt

When opened the subs are in JSON format.

How can i convert these subs to SRT or better yet how can i download them with yt-dlp

yt-dlp doesnt even see there are subs i assume cause the subs are not tied to the M3U so are separate. you have to enable them and find the url.

  4. If there are subs available from the video url and yt-dlp doesn't see or find them, then that's imo reason enough for an enhencement request. But ofc your decision

from my experience when subs are from a third party site no matter the streaming service yt-dlp can not detect/download them so its nearly always been a manual process to get them.

Yes i agree it would make a good feature request but it doesnt boder me enough since it only take a couple of seconds to get them manually. To open a feature request would take time as there is over 50 similar tickets i would need to review are not dupes.

Please feel free to open a feature request if it boders you.
